Me Time with Body Merry

If you’ve been following along with my january goals, you’ll remember that one of them was to have some “me time” twice a week, whatever that may be. Body Merry was kind enough to send me a few of their products to try out and give feedback on, so it was perfect timing for my goal, and I happily indulged, as they all had organic ingredients and Body Merry is a cruelty-free label.

My Samples:
Hyaluronic Dew Serum
Age Defense Eye Cream
Cellulite Defense Gel Cream

My skin is sensitive and tends to have an adjustment period whenever I switch skin care systems. I was surprised that when I stopped my current eye and face creams, my skin didn’t go crazy at all. I didn’t end up with any weird reactions or get blotchy or breakout while switching over either – yay!

First up: the Hyaluronic Dew Serum:
After washing my face with my Konjac Sponge in the morning, I follow up with Body Merry’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I can’t believe I’ve never tried this before – I’m totally hooked. This serum is totally unlike any treatment I’ve tried and is amazing at locking in moisture, even in this dry winter weather! The Hyaluronic Acid serum comes in a pretty blue bottle with a dropper, so I can control the amount super easily, as only a few drops are needed for the face area. The serum itself is a thicker consistency, but feels very light and glides over my skin easily. After about a month of using this serum, my skin tone is more even and feels smoother, and I love the dewey look I’m left with after using it. This is definitely a favorite and will definitely remain in my facial care rotation!

After applying the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I next apply the Age Defense Eye Cream to both my under eye area, as well as on my eye lids, twice a day. This is one product that this exhausted mama is becoming more and more in need of as insomnia and sleep regressions rob me of my precious beauty sleep! Body Merry’s formula is packed with 70 power packed ingredients, most of which are natural and organic, and with no harsh chemicals. Because of it’s natural ingredients, I’m able to apply it in the morning and at night before going to bed to help keep my eyes looking bright to maximize the eye cream’s effects without having to worry about any side effects. I love the light cucumber scent and the fact that I can put on my makeup right after, since the eye cream absorbs quickly and completely and there is no sticky residue left afterwards.
Because the scent is so light, my hubby has been using it as well and said that he’s noticed his under eye area is much less puffy!

And finally: the Cellulite Defense Cream:
I’ve always been a bit over critical of anti-cellulite lotions and creams, as cellulite is hugely genetic and the only hope I’ve ever had to getting rid of it has been hard exercise. I’ve also never had much to complain about, but pregnancy does some weird things to your body, and mine left me with dreaded cellulite. I tried a few different options that I picked up from the drugstore upon recommendation from some of my mommy friends, but was never that impressed with the results, so that’s the mind frame I went into this review with and to my delight – Body Merry did not disappoint with their Cellulite Defense Cream. This is another product that is going to stay in my daily rotation, no question.
After showering, I take a little of the Cellulite Defense Cream and rub it on my upper thighs, belly and upper arms while my skin is still a little damp. The cream feels slightly more like a gel, and glides on really easily. The smell is different – not bad or good, but it does smell slightly of Vicks (which I actually love) which I attribute to the menthol. I would recommend applying it in a well-ventilated area (I cracked the window in our bedroom for a few minutes while I put it on), if you’re more sensitive to smells. Right away, it feels like it goes to work! My skin feels tight and a little tingly, the latter of which dissipates after about 15 to 20 minutes. After about 2.5 weeks I started noticing that my cellulite was much less noticeable and my skin was much smoother – yay!
