Monday Introductions // Little Happenings + A Giveaway!

Little Happenings on Facebook // Instagram // Etsy

It’s no secret that I enjoy dressing Harrison up (I mean, can you blame me though?!), but sometimes it’s hard to get excited about little boys clothes. In general, they’re either covered with dinosaurs or trucks, or are super plain, and while cute, they’re just not our style. Thankfully, I have talented mommy friends who have solved that problem for me! I’m so happy to introduce Little Happenings, an etsy shop with a plethora of accessories for your little miss or mister, and give you an opportunity to win a $50 store credit! That’s right: five-oh!

Say hello to Chelsie, the owner and creator of Little Happenings! She is a super talented mama to an almost two year old beautiful little boy, Decker, who is probably one of the coolest kid’s I’ve ever met. At not even 2 years old, he is easily the most stylish little dude, and he’s really good at sharing his mama’s vegan chia seed donuts with H.
Chelsie lives with her best friend (who also just so happens to be her hubby), Ben, their son Decker, and their fur baby pup, Ava Grace (also known as Sissy VA), here in Idaho. I met Chelsie through a few mommy friends locally, and I noticed Decker’s scarves, beanies and bow ties right away!

What made you start Little Happenings? I have always had an interest in sewing but it wasn’t until my son was born that I got my first machine and started making little accessories for him, and LOVED it! I wanted to share my love of fashion and creating with other mommies out there looking for fun stylish clothing and accessories for their littles, so Little Happenings was born!

What (or who) has been your biggest inspiration? My son, niece and nephew have definitely been my biggest inspiration.

Have you always been interested in fashion? Yes! I love all things fashion and I absolutely love dressing my little man!

As a mom, how do you balance everything?! Oh goodness, Its definitely a daily challenge trying to be in the moment with my son and trying to run an at home biz. Lets just say nap time is a very good friend!
What has been your favorite piece so far? The lumberjack Bandanna is my absolute favorite! Its looks great with a number of outfits and is a great unisex piece as well!

Any sneak peaks or hints to new designs you’re thinking of? Im so excited about this spring. I have a ton of new ideas and things I will be adding to the shop in the next few months!

If you were to try out for The Voice, what song would you pick to sing? Im obsessed with the voice! Its hard to pick one but I would have to say “Brave” by Sara Bareilles (I know, im a total nerd:)

I am so in love with Chelsie’s shop, Little Happenings, and love that she has so many pieces for both girls and boys, as well as a few gender neutral items that would work great for both. We took H out to Costco on Sunday in his polka dot chambray bow tie and got SO many compliments! I’m pretty sure that a baby in a bow tie is probably the cutest sight I’ve ever seen, and explains why every other person went gaga over his outfit.

Little Happenings also has two styles of bibs- a snap and a tie style, and they are seriously the easiest way to add a little something to your child’s outfit and make them look extra stylish in about 2 seconds. In addition to upping the cute factor, Little Happenings‘ bibs are great for drooly teething babes! The tie back style is great for no-neck chunky littles (like H) and older kids, and I love that the snap style isn’t easy for H to rip off in one of his Hulk moments. He must like them, though, because so far he hasn’t tried to take them off!

Another awesome fact about Little Happenings? You can totally twin with your little! Check out Zach wearing the lumberjack bow tie and H wearing the lumberjack bandana bib scarf – is that not the cutest? Chelsie makes the bow ties adjustable (check out the picture above!) so they can fit newborns all the way to 12 year olds, and you can request larger sizes too, just shoot her an email! My heart melts every time I see this!

Chelsie’s fabric choices are so ridiculously cool, and perfect for mixing and matching. You can tell she has so much pride in what she does, and it reflects in her work. Her pieces are so beautifully made, people were shocked when I told them that a friend had made them – they thought I had purchased H’s bow ties at an upscale children’s boutique!
The black and white Pendleton and polka dot chambray bow ties are probably my favorites right now, and the lumberjack bandana bib goes with everything!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Little Happenings and Chelsie; all I can say is her work speaks for itself!
